As we woke up after yet another early wake up call, it was a bit strange to see lots of fog and clouds instead of the sun of the last week. It was just a constant reminder that we were still on higher grounds and as it also was going to be our last full day here in the country, the two of us decided to make the most of it.

Tania's fever seemed to be subsided overnight and this on its own was a good sign, together with a good morning appetite, it seemed that my friend was on the right track again.

Since we still had a lot of driving to do, our guides and bus driver made sure we were out of Haputale in no-time and as we were driving, I somehow fell asleep. Although I had a goodnight's rest the day before, it seemed I was still very much tired coz I only woke up again as we arrived at our first tourist stop of the day, the Ravana falls.

Ella is but a small village, especially known for its backpackers who come here and go for long walks to the Ravana falls, but sadly enough we didn't had time for a long walk, so we just had a quick photostop before we went back on the bus, destination Koggala.

Today we had the longest drive ahead of us and although we had to sit inside the bus for at least a few hours, our guides made sure we had a few stops along the way just to stretch our legs and for the ones who needed, a toilet break as well.

As hours passed by and we passed through lots of small villages and even a national park, we managed to arrive in Galle early in the afternoon.

Galle really looks like a beautiful colonial city, but since we were promised to be brought to our beach resort in the afternoon, this also meant that we had but a short visit into the centre of the city and as we walked alongside several of its highlights, I regretted that we had but a short time here at the seacoast.

Unlike the rest of our group, me and Tania were going to fly out of the country tomorrow afternoon, so this basically meant that the rest of the group still had enough time to discover this seaside city, but the both of us just had to do with a sneak peek of it all.

It must have been about 2 hours later when we arrived at the first beach resort of the day and as me and Tania together with 4 others were dropped off at the reception, it was time to say goodbye to the rest of the group and our faboulous guiding team. We only spend a bit more than a week with all of them, but somehow it was strange saying goodbye to this bunch already, but who knows, maybe we see them again, one time or another.

As the two of us were settled into our room, it was already way in the afternoon and swimming in the sea wasn't an option anymore so we just did the next best thing and went for a long beach walk till it was time to go for an early dinner. Tania still wasn't her usual self and now that we had time to do things slow, this was just what we were going to do, otherwise she would never get better and after all, it was our holiday, we were definitely going to make the best of the few days which were still ahead of us.
